Jubba Airways has resumed international operations from Mogadishu, adding another locally based airline option to Somalia’s regional air network.
International services return
Somalia’s official national news agency reported on 17 September 2026 that Jubba Airways had returned to international flying, with its first aircraft welcomed at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
According to the announcement, the airline is resuming links between Somalia and Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya. Domestic services are also restarting. The airline said the renewed operation begins with two larger aircraft and two mid-size aircraft.

The return expands the range of regional connections available to travellers planning journeys to and from Somalia. It may be particularly relevant for passengers travelling through East African and Gulf gateways.
